Our specialty has been in the production of numerous running,
biking, and adventure races in the Northeast Florida area. We have also produced inline
skating races, duathlon, triathlon, mountain biking races and bicycling safety events. Performance Multisports
provides event planning and ride direction for the Katie Ride for Life
bicycle tour, which includes a variety of safe
bicycling courses of up to 100 miles for participants in this
fundraising event for organ and tissue donor organizations.
We have assisted with large and small events for both commercial and non-profit
organizations, including Jacksonville Track Club's Summer Beaches Run, the
North Florida Race for the Cure, USATF/FL State 5-K Championships, The Spring Beaches
Run Series, the Performance Beach Duathlon Series, and over a dozen years of
adventure races, including The BEAR Adventure Race which was featured on CNN
and CNN Headline News networks.
Performance Multisports has materially assisted with the founding and production of the
Let Us Play Sports Camp, a four-day youth camp that is also supported by Nike, the City of
Jacksonville, and many of the owners, coaches, players and wives connected with the
Jacksonville Jaguars. We produced full-day festivals of sports activities with
instructional seminars and a variety of sports for the Jaspers Sports Fest and for
Memorial Healthcare's Tropical Health Wave Festival.
Jakson Badenhoop, principal of
Performance Multisports, served for about ten years as Chair of Men's Long Distance Running on the Board of Directors of USA
Track & Field/Florida, and has been a race director for numerous races. He served for
four years on the Planning Committee for the Wolfson Children's Hospital Kid's Day
festival. He has been a founding director of Let Us Play Sports Camp, which has been expanded
to include other NFL cities following its success in Jacksonville. As an
accomplished triathlete, marathoner and endurance runner, his view of event production focuses on the
satisfaction and feeling of success for the participants as well as the event hosts and
sponsors.
