Performance Multisports Event Planning
and Endurance Coaching |
| Performance Multisports
was founded in 1992 with the purpose of providing participant-oriented
sports events in Northeast Florida, especially in and near Jacksonville Beach, Atlantic Beach,
Neptune Beach, and Ponte Vedra Beach. Since that time, we have produced or
assisted in full production of a variety of sports festivals, running and biking races,
triathlons, duathlons, a youth sports camp, adventure races, and bike tours, as well as editing, designing, and
distributing an international triathlon newsletter. |
| We have backgrounds as both
participants and race directors, giving us a broad view of the needs in production of a
sports event. Performance Multisports is
able to assist your group or business with creation and fulfillment of your event, from
concept through planning, marketing, and design to registration, electronic timing and
computerized results for awards.

 |
| Performance Multisports
has
the necessary experience, expertise, equipment, and resources to produce a race or other
sports event for you and your organization. We are ready to consider your desired event
and look forward to discussing it with you. Performance
Multisports has provided individualized personal training for
those with limited time to exercise, but ambitious goals for their fitness. If this sounds
like you, contact us (below) to put together a specialized program that suits your needs
and leads you to your fitness success. |

Adventure Racing - Amelia Island - February 1999 |
Leadership:
Jakson Badenhoop,
lead director and founder of Performance
Multisports, is a long distance runner, cyclist, triathlete, and
adventure racer. He has served as Chair of Men's Long Distance Running for USA Track &
Field-Florida, and has produced several Florida Championships for USATF. He is also a past
president of the Florida Regional Federation of USA Triathlon. Through the years, he has
been involved in creating sports festivals with a variety of sports, as well as sports
camps for kids. He has been race director for many races from small company-sponsored fun
runs to high school cross country meets and long distance competitions with over a
thousand participants.
Jakson held the 1996-97 USATF National Championship in his age group for
50 Kilometers (31 Miles) and more recently took Third Place in his age group in the
1997-98 USATF 50 Mile National Championship. Jakson has run over 130
Ultramarathons and full marathons -- and many more shorter races, in addition to being an
accomplished triathlete, adventure racer, and athletic trainer.
Jakson has coached teams of runners and walkers for
the Arthritis Foundation's Joints in Motion Training Teams, preparing them for
participation in the Dublin (Ireland) Marathon in October 1999 and the Vancouver
International Marathon in May 2000. He has also provided marathon coaching for the
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's TEAM IN TRAINING, for the YMCA of
Florida's First Coast, and for Charities
Challenge Training Teams -- you could be a part
of his charity/marathon Team. Interested? Contact Jakson.
As a father, Jakson fits his own training time around the life of his daughter, who has always been his favorite training partner. For
other relaxation, he races sailboats offshore on the Atlantic Ocean and on Lake Superior,
something he has been doing for most of his life. Interested in going to some challenging
events? See his events schedules for 1999, 2000, 2001, and
2002. |
